The website and training were created to prepare volunteers to help in the center in such a way as to eliminate this feeling. That is why we focus on creating a community where volunteers will help together, which reduces the feeling of discomfort. However, if that is still not enough - volunteering is not an obligation. You can quit at any time if you still feel uncomfortable.

Do I have to be 18 years or older to volunteer?

Accepted Answer

No. We accept applications from young people aged thirteen and older, with parental consent to participate in volunteering. Exceptions to this rule should be sought in the regulations of specific facilities.

What if I don’t know how to behave when interacting with people experiencing homelessness?

Don't worry. It's not difficult. Our training videos and professional help from caregivers in the centers will prepare you for this.
